Pilates For Scuba Diving Strength (subscription members only)

Being fit to dive is SO important for many reasons. Pilates is an accessible way for anyone to build strength in your core muscles for better posture, balance and flexibility.
The equipment we carry around when we’re scuba diving is heavy and cumbersome. Having a strong core will make putting on, taking off and moving around in your kit so much easier. It’ll also help to save your back during those more strenuous diving situations.
Jill’s Pilates classes include exercises that promote core strength and stability, muscle control, and endurance, including exercises that stress proper posture and movement patterns and balanced flexibility and strength. She also focuses on breathing techniques which could well help you improve your air consumption!
Classes are at Project U (literally round the corner from the dive centre) and cost only £2.50 per session (this is the cheapest Pilates class we’ve ever seen!!) and you can pay on the door.
