We want to go diving in the sea as often as possible, but it's not always easy to predict where's best to go! We watch our forecasting tools like hawks, but they're not the most reliable (especially in the winter months) until a couple of days before hand. Once we've picked somewhere that looks good, we send out looking for viz reports!
If you fancy diving, then book in. There's always a backup plan that might include going to an inland site instead or something completely different like walks, beach cleans and other activities! Worst case scenario, if we don't get diving we'll give you a refund!
To join our Sunday Splash, you need to be at least Scuba Diver (12m) qualified with some experience of UK diving.
IF YOU'VE NEVER DIVED WITH US BEFORE...
We'll need you to pop into the dive centre for a check dive at some point before we hit the ocean.
IF IT'S YOUR FIRST TIME DIVING IN THE UK...
We'll need to you to jump in our training tank for an Intro To UK Diving Workshop and then join us on a shore dive before venturing out on the boats.
If cold water diving is something new to you, this is the perfect way to experience the colder temperatures of the North Sea - we keep our training tank cold for a reason! You'll wear all the exposure gear that you would in the sea including hoods, gloves and a thick semi dry wet suit. You'll also learn how this gear can slightly change the way you approach your skills compared to warmer waters. If you think you'll be doing lots of UK diving, it might be an idea to swap the workshop to a PADI Dry Suit Course instead?
If you don't yet have all your diving equipment, you can rent a full set or individual items as you require.
The Fifth Point Equipment Rental
Full Kit Hire: £60.00 per day or £30.00 per dive
Extra Tank: £10.00
Other Individual Items: POA - please get in touch!
Get 2 days FREE equipment hire each month (plus many more benefits) with our Diver Subscription.
All our rental gear is wing and long hose configuration. If this is something new to you, we'll need you to jump in our training tank for an orientation before heading out to open water.
We don't hire equipment to divers who are doing their own thing. They must be joining us on one of our planned trips.
We want you to have the best experience while you're diving with us, so let our experienced PADI DM's and Instructors take care of you! You'll be diving in small groups, led by our fantastic team. They'll make sure you're happy, comfortable and having fun while showing you the best our dive sites have to offer.
If you are a Tech Diver, Divemaster or Instructor who'd like to explore in your own little buddy teams, let us know and we'll take care of all the logistics for you.
Join our Diver Subscription to get the best value diving - your equipment rental and guiding fees are included, so on trips like these you've got nothing extra to pay!
If this is the first time you've dived with us you'll be asked to fill in some paperwork including a medical questionnaire that you'll recognise from previous courses. You can take a look at it here. Basically, all the answers need to be "no". If there's any "yes" answers, you'll need to take your form to your GP to get signed off as Fit To Dive before you can hit the water.
New To Cold Water?
If you've not dived in cold water before, we'll ask you to book in for an Intro To UK Diving Workshop sometime before your dive. We keep our training tank at the dive centre cold for a reason! We'll jump in with all our cold water gear including hoods and gloves and learn how this can slightly change the way you approach your skills.
New To Wing And Long Hose?
If you're renting our school kit for your dives and you've not used a wing and long hose configuration before, we'll ask you to book in for a Wing and Longhose Workshop. We'll get you measured up so that everything fits you properly and orientate you to the differences on this modern set up.
