Find out more about our team...
Our Values & The PADI Divemaster Internship
-
OCEAN HEALTH: Keep Our Sea Trash Free
- Every dive we do is a Dive Against Debris. You will see your colleagues pick up every piece of trash they come across, and you can help too!
- During your Internship, you will take the PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty Course, participate and eventually lead lots of environmental activities like surveys and beach cleans.
-
MARINE LIFE: Protect What You Love
- During your Divemaster Internship you will take part in numerous eco workshops that will teach you how to deliver courses in an environmentally responsible way plus encourage the divers that you guide to look after the underwater world.
- You will learn how to demonstrate skills neutrally buoyant and how to conduct teaching sessions with all your students hovering.
- You will take the Project AWARE Specialty Course.
-
PEOPLE AND COMMUNITY: Leading The Way
- Our Divemaster Internships are mentored by our experienced team.
- We are a no touch, no take dive centre. You will become a trail blazer - a rare breed of Divemaster that can introduce divers to a new and responsible way of diving in the UK.
-
HEALING AND WELLNESS: Let's Go Diving
- We help divers achieve their goals.
- We value all our customers and strive to give the best customer service you've ever experienced. You aren't a dogsbody during your Internship, you're a team member. You'll be dealing with real life customers in a busy dive centre.
- Once you've graduated as a PADI Divemaster, all our staff are on hand to give you help, advice and any further training you might need.
We're A PADI 5* IDC Dive Centre
We are subject to PADI’s quality assurance program. This is a globally acclaimed and fully integrated approach to ensure PADI standards are maintained throughout all elements of all courses. You can rest assured that we go above and beyond the requirements of PADI.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE FULL INTERNSHIP?
Before The Internship Begins
After filling in our online application form, potential candidates will be invited to an informal interview. If you're successful, you'll be asked to come in for a 3 day trial where you'll get to know your team mates, how the dive centre operates and meet lots of our customers. You can make sure that our dive centre is the right fit for you before you commit to the full Internship. During this trial, you'll also have to attend and pass an HSE medical before the internship can start. This costs around £180.00 and is payable by you. However, if after the Internship we invite you to join our team permanently, we will reimburse this cost.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE FAST TRACK?
What's The Difference Between The Internships and The Fast Track?
If you're looking to blast your DM course off and head to sunnier climes or you're really strapped for time, the Fast Track is an intensive two week course to help you achieve your goals. It includes the full PADI Divemaster curriculum, and although it doesn't include the majority of the extras or experience you'd get from our Internships, you'll still emerge as a well rounded Divemaster.

- Big discounts on gear
- The right candidates will be asked to join our team permanently
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED?
PADI Divemaster Application Fee
On completion of your Divemaster program, there is an application fee paid directly to PADI. This is currently £98.40 (Prices are accurate as per PADI's 2019 pricelist but are subject to change.) This fee is only included in our Full Internship. For candidates taking the Part Intership and Fast Track, this is not included.
HSE Medical
In order to work as a PADI Professional in the UK, you are required to pass an HSE Medical. This costs around £180.00. For those candidates who are offered a permanent position in our team, this fee will be reimbursed.
Other expenses that are not included:
- Accommodation - if you need somewhere to stay, please let us know and we can recommend some places near by
- Travel between sessions - you'll need transport from the dive centre to the swimming pool, classroom (if required) and open water sites. Open Water depends on conditions. We'll try and get in the sea locally as much as possible which will be about a 15 minute drive from the dive centre. If conditions further up the coast are more favourable, it's about a 60 minute drive. If the sea is blown out and we're forced in land, our nearest lake is about 90 minutes drive.
- Entry to inland sites
- Meals
COURSE PREREQUISITES
To enrol on our PADI Divemaster programs you must:
- Certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water and PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have 40 logged dives (and 60 before certification)
- Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or equivalent) within 24 months
- Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months (this is your normal RTSC medical statement signed by your GP - not the HSE medical)
